Datafisher LMS Release: Enhancements, Upgrades, and New Features in User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX)

We are excited to announce the latest updates to the Datafisher LMS, which include new integrations, feature upgrades, and UX improvements to enhance both admin and user experiences. Below is a summary of the key updates:

1. xAPI Integration with LinkedIn Learning

We’ve introduced xAPI integration, now supporting LinkedIn Learning, for seamless synchronization of course statuses. This gives admins improved visibility into learners’ progress across external platforms.

2. Support for xAPI (CMI5 Standard) Content

The LMS now supports the addition of xAPI content following the CMI5 standard. More details about this feature will be included in the next release notification.

3.Integration of Customer-Specific Learning Libraries

We have integrated external learning libraries from other LMSs into Datafisher LMS. This allows admins to assign and invite users to trainings located on external platforms while maintaining all completion data within Datafisher. Users benefit from having all their training in one place, with completions automatically recorded in the LMS training register.

4. SCIM and OAuth2 SSO with Centralized Azure App

To streamline authentication, Datafisher LMS now supports SCIM and OAuth2 SSO with a centralized Azure app. This eliminates the need for separate client apps, providing a more secure and simplified single sign-on (SSO) experience.

5. User Activity Tracking and Feature Usage Insights

We’ve introduced a new feature that collects user activity data, such as page loads, searches, form submissions, and feature usage. Admins can track which features are most popular, while AI-driven insights will help personalize recommendations and improve future feature development. Upcoming updates will include visualizations and deeper analysis of course statistics and search trends.

6. Password Expiration Configuration

Admins can now configure a password expiration time for the Learn Portal. Once this period expires, users will be required to reset their passwords during login, enhancing security.

    7. Unsaved Changes Notification

To help prevent data loss, we’ve added an unsaved changes notification in the LMS admin panel. If an admin or manager navigates away from a page without saving changes,  a prompt will appear, reducing the risk of unsaved data being lost. This notification can be disabled by selecting “do not ask again”.

    8. SCORM Package Review Mode for Completed Sessions

We’ve updated the SCORM package review mode. Now, when “Allow reviewing completed sessions” is enabled, users can revisit completed sessions without starting from the beginning. This applies by default to all content types, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive review process.

    Additional Upgrades

In addition to the major feature updates, we’ve made several system enhancements to improve performance and usability, including:

    • Updated terminology for user statistics.
    • UI/UX improvements across the admin panel and Learn Portal.

We’re confident these improvements will enhance your experience with Datafisher LMS. Stay tuned for further updates and feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback!
